ความลับอันสุดเศร้าของประเทศไทย

ช่วงเช้าของวันที่ 9 มิถุนายน พ.ศ. 2489 กษัตริย์อานันทมหิดล ซึ่งเป็นพระมหากษัตริย์รัชกาลที่ 8 ของประเทศสยามที่มีพระชนมายุ 20 พรรษา ได้ถูกยิงที่ศีรษะและเสด็จสวรรคตอยู่ในห้องบรรทมของพระองค์ในพระที่นั่งบรมพิมาน ภายในพระบรมมหาราชวังในกรุงเทพฯ ตอนเย็นของวันนั้น เจ้าฟ้าชายภูมิพลอดุลยเดชซึ่งเป็นพระอนุชาของพระองค์พระชนมายุ 18 พรรษา ได้รับการสถาปนาให้เป็นพระมหากษัตริย์รัชกาลที่ 9 กษัตริย์ภูมิพลได้ครองราชสมบัติตั้งแต่วันนั้นเป็นต้นมา ขณะนี้พระองค์ทรงชราภาพและเจ็บป่วยบ่อยครั้ง ทรงเก็บพระองค์เองอยู่ในโรงพยาบาลศิริราชด้านฝั่งตะวันตกของแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยาซึ่งไหลผ่านใจกลางเมืองหลวง แต่พระองค์ก็ยังคงดำรงตำแหน่งพระมหากษัตริย์ของประเทศไทย โดยทางการแล้ว คดีฆาตกรรมเรื่องนี้ได้ถูกพรรณาไว้ว่าเป็นเรื่องลึกลับ เป็นปริศนาทางอาชญากรรมที่ผิดวิสัยที่สุดเรื่องหนึ่งของโลก ซึ่งไม่สามารถเฉลยข้อเท็จจริงออกมาได้ในศตวรรษที่ผ่านมา แต่ในความจริงแล้ว มันชัดเจนมาเป็นเวลานานแล้วว่าใครเป็นผู้ปลงพระชนม์กษัตริย์อานันทมหิดล ความจริงได้ถูกปกปิดโดยสถาบันของประเทศไทย […]
